What is the Columbus Area Pet Project
The Columbus Area Pet Project (CAPP) is a grassroots community organization comprised solely of volunteers striving to support Columbus Area pets and their owners. We seek to provide resources in underserved neighborhoods, build strong coalitions, and better our community for all.
CAPP supports initiatives assisting in the care of all domestic pets, and does not support breed specific profiling or exclusionary practices of any kind.
CAPP seeks to build compassion and leadership within the community, celebrating cultural diversity and empowering our Columbus Area neighbors.

CAPP hopes to implement various programs to provide educational and material resources for our communities.
Our Core Focuses are:

Why
Support CAPP and help make the Columbus Area a safer and more humane community for all!
Through grassroots initiatives, we hope to decrease dog bite and mortality statistics, increase pet owner redemptions from the county shelter, and increase pet retention for struggling owners. We also seek to decrease unwanted litters and poor breeding practices through education and access to free and cheap vet clinics and programs as well. We hope to teach youth about the joys of responsible pet ownership and the emotional and moral benefits to bonding with animals through community and educational outreach.
We believe that an investment in today will result in a brighter and more balanced tomorrow.
